Student Support

IES Student Support Services
We are dedicated to providing quality education that fits each student’s needs. Each student joins our schools with different levels of social and academic exposure. Across our online and in-person educational platforms, we see a wide range of lifestyles, including students who travel frequently and students seeking a guided homeschool-style education. We understand that the best growth happens when we meet each student’s academic, social and emotional needs.
Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)
A research and data-based framework intended to give students the best opportunity to succeed by quickly identifying and supporting their learning, behavioral and social-emotional needs.
All of our students K-8 are screened three times per school year to monitor curriculum progress and identify students who may require additional support in reading and math.
Child Study Team (CST)
The CST identifies learning and behavioral strengths and needs, puts strategies into action, frequently monitors the effectiveness of the interventions and makes modifications as necessary.

Special Education
Our Special Needs Education Philosophy
We firmly believe that with the right support, all students can be successful. IES schools recognize the unique strengths and challenges of all students, including those with special needs. And regardless of any special needs, all IES students receive a free and appropriate education rooted in a strength-based model.
All our students have an individualized growth portfolio developed through their student-led conference in collaboration with their parents and teachers. This growth portfolio includes tailored goals for academic achievement and social-emotional growth. Connect with us to learn more about how we can support your student.
